Owner/Trainer: Taylor McCuiston

Taylor personally raises, shows, and trials her German Shepherd Dogs in AKC Conformation, Obedience, Rally, and Herding. Before focusing her time specifically on dog training, she was a professional horse trainer. Training horses for disciplines such as stopping the clock in Barrel Racing to teaching intricate patterns showing Reining Horses. Being in animal training pretty well her entire life, she has a unique approach to dog training from her extensive background with horses. She feels it's a very fine line between making things fun and providing dogs with the structure and boundaries they desire. Her approach to dog training is based on balanced training methods. "Fair, Fun, & Firm" is our go to motto. Training the dog in front of us and meeting each dog where they're at is important. Every dog is different with their learning style and ability to take in information.

checklist

Please bring enough food for your dog's entire stay with us. We prefer owners bring their dog's food individually bagged/prepped for each meal + few extra baggies in case your pet stays a few additional nights. We have sealed containers for each individual dog for owners who need to bring a full bag of food.  Blankets/towels are acceptable to bring, but we ask owners not to bring soft beds. We do have our own bedding here if owners don't want to bring or forget. Because we have your dog's comfort in mind and each kennel has an elevated Kuranda bed. Any medication needs to be in the original bottle placed inside a ziplock bag with written instructions of dosage and frequency.  Martingale and/or flat collar, 6-foot training leash.  2 Bags of treats per week (soft treats) while your dog is in training, we like to use Bil Jacs. Paper copies of any vaccines if not uploaded into the online portal. We will NOT take our dog if we do NOT have current records on file.
